Racing record

Successfully raced by his breeder - started racing as a 4 yr old, won 7, 6 2nds, 6 3rds.

Finished racing sound late 1998.

Started with his new owners May '99 and sent to me Nov'99.

Competition History

Started competing with me in Jan, and won Prelim Dressage at State Champs in March with consistent dressage scores around 70 percent. Started Eventing in March 01 with a third in Prelim - winning dressage, slow clear xc clear sj. Next start was a win in April finishing on dressage of 48.

In May he upgraded and was 4th next start with a few xc time. Over winter I schooled him at home with some weeks off due to my interstate commitments in the lead up to and during the Olympics.

After the games it was back to work in earnest and a win at Reynella once again on the dressage score (42) in October.

In November we travelled to Melbourne for a couple of events with a good 3rd at Yarra Glen on very boggy going (a few time once again)

Over the Xmas break we went showjumping up to 1.15m with double clears and placings at each outing.

Next start was an excellent win on the dressage score of 38 once again in Victoria. Followed by a win at Jupiter Creek. He upgraded for a 3rd and a 4th over tough Novice tracks at his next starts and a win at Yarra Glen in Oct.

Aspire is a horse that gets better with each outing. He has 3 excellent paces, is sound, a bold but careful ride xc in the snaffle and is adjustable and careful in the show jumping. He is a pleasure to work with. An easygoing temperament - the sort that is easy to have around. He travels well and has no vices. I believe this horse has all the necessary attributes not only to go CCI**** but to win at the top level.
